Private Chef work for “Mr. Big”

If I had a magic wand to slow down my world, I would do it just long enough to catch my breath…Then let it fly at the same 100mph rate of speed it’s been since my last blog post lol.

The private Chef business is blowing up for me and I guess it’s time to admit that I have a fabulous regular client, who we’ll refer to as “Mr. Big”, that books the Chef Nedra experience on the regular.

So today I drove over, made lobster eggs-benedict for a large breakfast social; and a Tuscan lobster lasagna for another meeting he had later in the afternoon. The advantage of the private Chef world is my creative expressions can go wild, and the feedback is immediate. It feels good to know the impact great cuisine can have on someone’s life.

Between speaking engagements, working w/ children’s groups, my day job and the private Chef thing…you wouldn’t think I had time to launch my own spice line huh?

Well guess again!

Dog Day Afternoon…

Words can’t express how busy it was at the restaurant last night. Don’t get me wrong, busy is good…but I couldn’t help but think of what it would be like to be having a bucket of Dos Equis and enjoying a few dogs while watching the NBA Playoffs.

The Miami Heat brought their game last night, but Sunday will be a fun day as well as a Father’s Day full of food !!

I enjoy meeting fans of the show and I never get tired of the funny stories people tell me about Nedra-isms they’ve added to their life 😉

I’m blessed to have had another new opportunity rear it’s head early this morning. Staying busy, humble and a little loco seems to be a winning combination these days.

Tuesdays with Stories…

This post is dedicated to a group of people that have made my past Tuesday’s special each week. Pictured are some of the staff from local KABB FOX 29 that are not only great at what they do…but a hilarious gang of comedians!

People who know me know that I get nervous meeting new people sometimes, but since the beginning of my on air cooking segment they have all made me feel like family.

You guy’s are the best! Oh yeah, the guy in the black sports coat at the bottom, he’s the owner of Red Baklava Photography. Always silently working behind the scenes, but even on this day the news crew took a moment to make him smile.

You guys are great and I wanted to be sure to let the Chefnedra.com followers know that you’ve made my past Tuesday’s phenomenal.

Yep…I’m the Track Star of tonight’s episode of Hell’s Kitchen…

Yeah…I know LOL!! If you saw tonight’s episode of Hell’s Kitchen then you know why Nike should be offering me a shoe deal because of all the running I did in the food challenge on the show 😉

Man I’m tellin’ ya’ll I’m scared of my own dog…let alone chasing pigs, ducks and chickens into a cage to determine what protein’s my Hell’s Kitchen team would be cooking against the blue team.

I ran like cheap panty hose. I ran like a snotty nose on a 3yr old. I ran like a chubby kid to the lunch line. One more…I ran like the bacon ferry was waiting for me at the finish line with a bacon necklace!

I have learned that facing my fear can be funny to other’s, but hell on me! lol

Well, I’m better because of it and thankful Chef Ramsay got a laugh instead of firing a list of profane poetry my way!

If I see a piglet coming at me in the street…I’ll be doing my best Usain Bolt imitation from the Olympics, seriously 😉
